Annaliese launched AnnalieseStyle in San Francisco 20 years ago, focusing on the LGBTQ+ community from the get-go. She began by helping her friends create empowering looks for work, everyday, and for special occasions, such as dresses and suits for their weddings. Prior to creating AnnalieseStyle, she worked in San Francisco as a hair and make-up artist. She has had the pleasure of working with such talent as Robin Williams, Carlos Santana, Journey, Wilco and Ricki Lake.

Meet Beautiful Brynn

Brynn is undergoing one of the swiftest and most up upliftingtransitions I’ve witnessed. She has sought my assistance with hair, makeup, and clothing. It’s inspiring to see this beautiful lady confidently forging her path forward.

“I came out as a transgender woman several months ago at the age of 57. I very much regret not coming out earlier in my life (especially before losing my hair), but someone I know said that their therapist had a very meaningful statement about that - I couldn’t come out until I was ready to come out. For me, that meant coming out very recently. While there are many advantages to coming out early in life, such as physical development, there are some positives to coming out later in life. You are more likely to have a network of friends and family to support you as you transition. In addition, you are more likely to have access to resources and information to help you become who you are. For example, if I had come out earlier I wouldn’t have been able to take advantage of the services Annaliese provides.

Did you catch my latest newsletter about two amazing trans women and their Day of Beauty? Jamie traveled all the way from Florida to experience my signature, Day of Beauty and to meet some of my trans friends.

Flying across the country to meet the beautiful Annaliese for a Day of Beauty far exceeded my expectation. She not only provided valuable fashion insight, she structured the entire day to recreate a spa retreat: Manicure, Pedicure, and Makeover. She also handled with ease some scheduling changes so that we would achieve everything I wanted and expected. At no point did I feel at unease.

I was fortunate because Annaliese invited me to two evening outings to socialize with other LGBTQ+ individuals. It was above and beyond my expectation for the weekend in the LA area. The camaraderie experienced both evenings was an affirmation of my identity. Because of these two events, I knew I could manage my transition and even handle the bumps when they occur.”

It’s spring! Let’s organize your closet and make some fresh fabulous new outfits!

First, move those bulky winter clothes deep in your closet or pack them up and hide them under your bed. Move out your pretty light weight clothes and dresses and sandals, and let’s make some outfits.
I helped Stephanie organize and get her closet ready for spring and I can help you too.
Let’s discover what you’re missing and go shopping!

SPRING CLOSET ORGANIZATION TIPS:
1. Organize— Create a keep, donate, and alteration pile. If you get stuck, put the item aside and process it later. Keep the flow going!

2. Rotate— Put fall and winter clothes away in the back of your closet or boxed up under your bed. Move spring and summer clothes up front and organize them by item and color.

3. Shop your closet— After you have organized & purged, make the most out of your existing wardrobe.

- Find out which items you’re missing, so going forward you can get dressed easier.

- Take pictures of yourself in outfits you like to get a visual reference.

- Move your Spring and Summer scarves, belts, handbags, and shoes where you can see them, so you can integrate them into your new fresh wardrobe!

4. Thrift— Save money by thrifting! Utilize sites like Poshmark, Thredup, Tradesy and eBay. Search for your favorite brands and filter by size for easy shopping.
