The name of clothing brand, BLUE LINE is derived from the name of subways which connect Long Beach with Downtown LA through Compton, Watts, and South Central. In 1998, DJ 2HIGH came LA for the first time and decided to set his first base in Compton, which is well known as the origin of West Coast HipHop, NWA and Eazy-E’s hometown. Also, in those days, the subway was the only way for him to go to Long Beach, Downtown, or Hollywood from Compton. It is no exaggeration to say that he couldn't survive in LA without the underground. Therefore, he named his clothing line BLUE LINE same as the subway’s. Today, BLUE LINE has supports from many West Coast legends; SNOOP DOGG, DAZ DILLINGER, KURUPT, DOVESHACK, TWINZ, WARREN-G, WC, MC8, and Coolio. The main designers are JOOCOOL who designed the artwork of Do******le, SNOOP DOOG’s 1st Album (over 7million sales) and RISKIE who is used to work for Death Row Recordz. Also, on 4/20, 2013, BLUELINE collaborated with MOOKEE BY YUSKE which has skyrocketed recently and attracted attention with high-end designs.
