tiki tiki (1971), directed by gerald potterton
tiki tiki follows a group of animated characters as they arrive in hollywood and attempt to make a movie of their own, set against a psychedelic world of motorcycles, movie stars and early ’70s counterculture.
director gerald potterton wasn’t sure whether to aim it at “kids or stoned teenagers or whatever,” ultimately describing the finished product as “a cross between a whacked out animated version of easy rider and the musical hellzapoppin’.”
