I do have a good Brad Pitt story in case he wanders into the store - My cousin Shane was in a band called Johnny Monster And The Nightmares and he sometimes wore this big heavy coat and when the band split up he gave it to me. I wore it in San Francisco for years but when I moved down to LA it was too warm (that’s why he gave it to me) so I consigned it to my old business partner Oskar and sold it to Rhonda who was the costumer for Fight Club…. Yeah, the full length fake fur jacket Brad wore barechested. That’s the one.

As some of you may know, a year and a half ago we were broken into and robbed for a large amount of mainly gold jewelry. Since then we’ve kept only a small amount of gold in the store so I will be posting some pieces that will be available for purchase but if you want to come in the store and see them in person you’ll have to make an appointment and I will bring them in.

This is one of my all time favorites!
14k gold Victorian wide hinged bangle bracelet from the late nineteenth century with a classic Etruscan design.
Applied goldwork covers the top of this bracelet, featuring engraved and applied gold foliates and dot-work lay on top of a vast, solid, hinged bangle with a gold safety chain.

Weight 36.7 grams
Circa 1880s; no hallmark but engraved inside with the name “A. E. Murray”
Tested for 14K, some spots read higher.
Wear is consistent with age - not perfect but still incredibly stunning.
