I loved that I started this project in my dining room and had brides and bridal parties wear my robes during their most precious moments since 2018.
But with the move from Altadena in 2022, limited space, and side projects growing—I’ve been sitting on an inventory of robes that were all made with intention from deadstock fabric—that have since become deadstock for my brand. 🙃
As I’m transitioning Camas Lilly Co. beyond the wedding space. I’ve been thinking of new ways to upcycle the inventory I’m currently sitting on before I invest in new designs.
So, for the last couple of years, I’ve been collecting Dollie’s and vintage fabric.
Today I cut into a few, placed and pinned them, and they’ll be dropped off to be sewn by Rosa tomorrow.
A nod to grandmas and nanas throughout the world. A way to eliminate textile waste. A new robe to wear, each piece is one-of-a-kind.
I’m excited to share these with you.
But I need your help on naming this collection. Drop your ideas in the comments below! Thank you for following along this journey. I’m excited to share more with you!
