SECOND/LAYER AUTUMN/WINTER 2026
BARRIO NOCTURNO ‘LOW LIGHT RITUALS’
The night feels better than the day. Streetlights buzzing, cars passing slow, the rcean still moving out there somewhere even when no one’s looking. I don’t belong anywhere but here, drifting between fog on the coast and the backstreets of the barrio, old songs bleeding from a busted jukebox of dusty 7-inch records.
It’s lonely but it’s alive.
I wear the same things every night. A suede jacket that smells like ci******es, wool pants that hang right when I sit alone at the bar, a sweater soft enough to feel like someone used to care. Clothes like armor, clothes like memory. I don’t need much, just things that feel like me.
This collection isn’t about being seen. It’s about the shadows, about waiting, about patience like the ocean waiting to break. About love songs echoing through garage walls, about style that doesn’t go away even when everything else does. Suavecito in the details, raw everywhere else.
SECOND/LAYER calls it Barrio Nocturno ‘Low Light Rituals.’ To me it’s just life after dark. The heartbeat of the barrio, the stillness of the coast. Nights that don’t end, rituals that mean something, style that stays when nothing else does.
