This is the first time in years that I’ve incorporated my closest friends into a project. When Mikael, Justin, and I were working out this concept, we knew everyone’s personalities would blend together perfectly. They’ve supported me behind-the-scenes as I was finally taking the steps to build this brand, so I’m honored to highlight them in a playful way 🫶🏼

Walking in during the morning hours, I love seeing the hustle and bustle of my local donut shop. There’s customers at the tables reading the newspaper and enjoying their morning coffee and croissant, kids with their faces pinned against the glass choosing their sprinkle donut, and even gamblers testing their luck to see if they won $5k from a $1 scratcher. The US Donuts team doesn’t blink an eye; they know all their regulars’ orders and still manage to hold a meaningful conversation while getting people in and out in a timely manner.

A photoshoot in my hometown has always been a dream of mine, and I wanted to bring this concept to a local business that became a part of my routine.

Before and I head to the swap meet or vend at flea market, we always order a sugar and crumble donut, a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, and a large iced coffee to share.

Today, I turn 28. One year ago, I debuted this design. I usually make my birthday outfit, but this time around feels much more special since I finally have my namesake brand.

“What’s In Your Pockets?” was a concept inspired by the set itself. Whenever I design, it’s important for me to balance functionality with style. With my background in upcycling and sustainability, I want the wearer to get multiple uses out of the set. I can’t wait to see what you fill your pockets with!

Two more videos to go and the photoshoot reveal on the way. We’re getting closer to launch day 🥹
