A Guinness Book of World Record Collection of Vintage Dresses, Collected by Paul Brockmann and curate

Although many of our dresses were purchased for this show across a couple of seasons a few made the screen for reference. I worked with costumer amyparris pulling many dresses for the final season on Stranger Things Netflix

3 pieces I noticed from The final episode of Stranger Things Season 5, titled “Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up,” aired December 2025.

1) The pink and black polka dot 80’s dress was modified by the costume team adding the purple accents.

2) The white/blue/purple one shoulder came from our floral racks, container 3.

3) The textured floral 80’s dress also came from the same rack during the final pop up I hosted.

Archive Rewind: July 2021. People always ask me if clothing from the collection has ever been used on TV or in film. Here is one example from 5 years ago. Paramount+ show “Why Women Kill” season 2. This 1950’s green taffeta and tulle gown was altered to perfection for a background character on the show. It was hemmed, fitted and the removable shawl anchored to create this gorgeous look. They also added volume in the skirt with a proper underpinning. Gorgeous work as always J A N I E B R Y A N T

Fun Fact: We had 2 dresses in this collection with the same silhouette but different fabrics. This gorgeous green taffeta/tulle and an exquisitely rich coral velvet and tulle. The velvet didn’t have a shawl/shoulder piece or snaps to indicate it was missing one. Same design - different impact.

👉🏻 On this day in 2014 (12 years ago) I spent hours inside the Gardena warehouse and I purchased 11 dresses for myself and curated a rack for an upcoming sale for them. I spent time with Paul and met in person for the first time. My DRESScaoade™️ with the collection continues. What a fabulously wild ride. I love this memory and all the pieces I chose for the rack. This is what I refer to as “Container 2” when I talk about the 3 “containers”. Enjoy these archival images.

🕊️ 🤍 Happy Heavenly Birthday To Dress Collector Paul Brockmann 🕊️🤍 His memory lives on in each and every dress he collected, in every dance shared with his lovely wife wearing the dresses and in all the amazing moments each of you have had in the garments he so thoughtfully collected and kept in safe storage.

🤍 Thinking of the impact his collection has had on so many today. My heart is always with his daughter - wife Margot, Son Mike and his grandchildren.

A reminder about why we have been gifted this beautiful dress collection. It was born out of love and lifelong partnership. Mr. Brockmann wanted to ensure his wife had a different dress for every dance. And every time he saw a dress he told me, “I saw my wife in it”. He left us with an award winning collection that spanned the decades and is also size inclusive. Gratitude is owed to his daughter for brining the dresses for sale to the public in the first place back in 2013. 🤍

Many dealers have purchased from me for resale but of owns the largest portion of what remains.

I have 80 pieces tucked away from the 3rd container to share at an appropriate time in my studio. Jenna hosts a show each week, sells on eBay and will host her next in person sale October 2026 in San Gabriel, CA.

Today we commemorate the passing of Paul Brockmann, leaving on this day last year for his next adventure. Paul was a dress collector but he was also a builder, beloved husband, loving father and grandfather. He was a ballroom dancer who loved fishing. He was also a friend to many, including me. I was fortunate to be his business partner in this epic DRESScapade™️. I worked closely with his daughter Louise to bring the collection to the public for sale over a span of several years, container after container, dress after dress. Ultimately he passed knowing the five decades of his work was loved and appreciate by so many and the collection he loved went to homes that care for them and many have allready started their next lives.

Sending so much love today (and always) to the Brockmann family as we take time to reflect of the life and legend of the ultimate dress collector, Mr. Paul Brockmann. Missed forever and always remembered. 🕊️🤍

Hello Fashion Friends! 👋🏻 Many of you know that of now owns the largest part of what remains of the 55,000 Dresses Collection. Since we met she has acquired part of what remained of container 1,2 and most recently container 3.

She is offering what remains from stock from container 1 for the last time in LA starting tomorrow through Sunday. New stock will be brought out each day.
