A BIRTHDAY MESSAGE FROM DOM:

Dear all,

Thank you so much for all the messages and wishes.

Yes it’s my birthday today! The sun is shining and the day ahead is looking like it will be fun and exciting! Kicking off with a birthday breakfast with the family, before rehearsals with Duran Duran for the forthcoming European tour this afternoon then I’m going to see the Beach Boys this evening in London and will top it off with a nice dinner out. Action packed for sure!

It’s been a good year overall. DD have been fairly busy with last summer’s European tour and a few stints in the US.

Highlights are performing at Powderham Castle in Exeter. I lived there from age 5 to 12 and it was quite a nostalgic experience returning to perform there after so many years. I really felt an energy and the spirits egging me on. I really loved the setting with the view of the castle silhouetted behind the vast audience. I couldn’t help thinking that there must have been a few old friends and acquaintances out there in the crowd!

Also, Duran Duran Halloween shows are becoming a tradition now and it was another highlight performing at the UK’s largest arena Manchester Co-op Live last Halloween. The costumes are always top notch.

A special thank you to everyone who has supported my band ‘UNCOVERED The Electric Rock Experience’ this last year. It’s wonderful that some of you literally come to every show. It’s much appreciated! Also many thanks to the fans who have attended my US DJ sets… I love having your energy at those shows, it makes it so much fun!

Anyway, I know it’s a bit shorter than my usual Birthday Message but I’m being summoned - “breakfast is getting cold”… so must dash until next time.

Some concerts feel energetic.
