Today is August 19th. 40℃ in Guangzhou. I drove out to my printing factory partner I’ve worked with for two years.

160 garments, repeated print failures. Two batches ruined. We ate the fabric cost twice. I was ready to argue.

Navigation led me deep into a village. No fancy automated workshop. Everything is hand‑screen printed. Ink mixed by hand. Screens clog in extreme heat. Workers stop non‑stop to wash them.

The whole order only nets them 900 yuan, yet they already lost over 1000 yuan on wasted fabric.

I felt my anger melt away. I’m always changing designs, rushing samples. They don’t even have design‑software people. Every revision means driving to another village for new screens. Two years, zero complaints.

Sympathy changes nothing. The heat and sweat are real. Bad output isn’t always carelessness. Sometimes people have already given everything they can with what they have.
