Some adoptions happen faster than we can keep up with the celebration posts โ but there was no way we were going to let Nino Baneโs adoption go uncelebrated!
Nino Bane joined the Mission back in February after coming to us from Franklin County Animal Shelter. At just 18 months old, this compact 53-pound little powerhouse came with a big personality, a chunky neck, the cutest little stub tail, and one very important requirement for life: he wanted to be part of everything his people were doing.
Before we could find his perfect forever home, we needed to really understand Nino and what would make him successful. Thatโs where our seasoned foster April came in. She gave Nino the time and structure he needed while helping us learn all about him โ his love for people, his ability to live peacefully with dogs and cats, his preference for calmer canine friends, his serious enthusiasm for food, his impressive communication skills when he needed to go outside, and, of course, his occasional Houdini tendencies!
Then along came Karen.
Karen fell in love with Nino, and in mid-July, our little man officially became her little man forever.
Rescue never slows down, and somehow July turned into September before we got the chance to properly celebrate him. But every adoption deserves its moment, and Nino Bane certainly deserves his.
A huge thank you to April for fostering Nino and helping us understand exactly what he needed to thrive. Fosters are such an important part of finding the right home, not just any home.
And congratulations to Karen and Nino Bane! We hope your life together is filled with soccer balls, crunchy treats, plenty of adventures, and absolutely no successful escape attempts.
Happy Adoption, Nino Bane! You found your forever.
