I’ve posted about this before, but have had some questions about it lately so thought I’d share again. Below is Derek’s current score.
One of the most difficult things for kids to do is to establish credit. If you, as a parent, have good credit, you can add your high school kids to your credit cards as authorized users. This allows them to ride your coattails to a great credit score when they turn 18. Both of our adult children already have a credit score over 800 because of this. Both have been able to successfully use their credit without a co-signer and are now building onto what we started. When Isaac graduates, he will also be way ahead of the curve!
