It’s my 4️⃣ year impactiversary! Four years ago I said yes to joining as a Sseko Fellow and now Noonday Ambassador through our merge.
I’ll be honest, this year hasn’t been easy, but I still care deeply about the mission and impact of this work. I believe in the artisan businesses we work with, and in providing access to education for women around the world. I believe in women like who are showing up for their communities in powerful ways. So I’m still here and committed to this work. 🌍
This month is not only special because of my impactiversary, but also because it’s Impact Giveback month at Noonday where Noonday makes an extra donation, based on sales, to a specific need one artisan group has. This year we were honored to work with our Artisan Business Leaders in Thailand to design an Impact Giveback campaign for the benefit of the people who work in their workshop, many of whom are refugees impacted by the conflict in Myanmar. Our goal is to fund a full year of trauma counseling for 20 Artisans (or their children) by selling 12,000 pieces in the month of June. For every 600 pieces sold, we will be able to fund a year of trauma counseling for one person.
