I just posted a message and photo regarding my sewing room makeover as part of my latest SMF Fall newsletter. Using Facebook has not been on the top of my priority list but I thought this was worthy of a post.

Here is a sneak peak of the main sewing room makeover. After six weeks, I can finally say the classrooms are ready. It was a much bigger job than I expected but well worth the time and money to get it looking as good as it does. I had a great husband who made it possible. He built and advised me on what and how projects needed to be done. Everything he did was to perfection. I had a terrific painter who worked every day for two weeks. When it was time to move everything back into the rooms, Margaret Ballard and Susan Laforge each spent an entire day helping me. Margaret organized the thread and Susan helped with organizing all the plastic containers that are now stored under the stairs in the furnace room. Both were pretty monumental jobs. I am more than thrilled with the classrooms and can hardly wait for classes to resume on September 9.

For those of you who tried to contact me either by phone or email, I hope you can understand my first priority since July 31 has been to get these rooms back together with very little time for anything else. I normally return calls and emails within a day but it just wasn't possible this past month

Yesterday I posted a video on YouTube on how to join bias strips. I made it for the women who are making a jellyroll rug; however, it is a great technique for anyone who has a need to make bias binding, especially quilters. Anyway, If you go to YouTube, search for "how to join bias strips" and you will find mine. I would appreciate "thumbs up" and subscribers. I also will have the same videos on my website, www.sewmuchfunky.com. You will find them on the Photos/Videos page.

Just love having a smart tv in the classroom. Can show sewing dvd's and sewing tv shows during class or while I am sewing on my own projects. Lots of fun.
