My FEED STORE door came home to my store! In Highschool I started a feed-store working for Cargill Nutrena after school then bringing home feed for my store I built a free standing store next to my families Masonville Store I lived and worked in from age 11. I was in FFA and this was my SOEP
Project Agribusiness! It did really well. I recently found pictures of my father giving me my door he had painted for me on Christmas at 16 years old. My rope on the corner I used to rope a little in the Larimer county Highschool rodeo team. I later went on to work for RanchWay immediately after high school and took college classes at night. Writing rations for the mixer room and weighing the semi trucks of grain and testing for moisture. The only women working in the retail behind the counter our feet stood on the floor above the boiler room. We had a mat to help stand in. I went into the mill at 5:00 am and left at 5:00 pm. We worked half days on Saturday’s. It’s good to get my memory back that meant so much . Iam JoAnn my father always called me Jo growing up
So Jo’s feed and grain. Working in business in Madonville 50 years in the Masonville Mercantile at age 11 pumping gas. Taking care of customers stocking shelves, stocking pop machines, wracking pool tables
Pouring 3.2 beer and ammunition sales. To adding a feedstore that kept running after I left from graduation serving the community, then back in 1985 to build the Madonville Mercantile up again raise my children near their grandfather and the good schools. A 4-h leader I was for 15 years, caucus leader for voting. Building the leather store I grew up leather lacing builds for Ed McCurdys Macs leather growing up then I began Nostalgic West leather across from dad’s store working for the community 40 years.

Mother’s Day at the store! So many moms with daughters in and people stopping to visit! Then pizza on the porch friends who are family and then calling Turkeys to hear them answer back and princess dominos on the porch of the house for the little girl who loves her red sparkle shoes, just like my daughter did when she was this age. You gotta love a little girl who loves the red

Haha I remember our country bus drivers!! We couldn’t keep a regular bus driver over two weeks growing up in Masonville as a junior high high school kid……until this one guy🤣🤣🤣🤣he stayed we dud it all snow ball fights out the exit and front doors pulled over , not making it up the post office hill they canceled prom that May!!! He wore a white t- shirt ci******es rolled up in his sleeve long hair past his shoulders heavy rock n roll on the speakers we had the best time “ he got us”! The seventies!!
