After 47 Years, The Ride Comes to an End

With a heavy heart, we announce that after 47 incredible years, Boot City will be closing our doors. It has been an honor to serve Lubbock and the surrounding communities, outfitting generations with the best in Western wear and gear.

To our loyal customers—thank you. Your support, friendship, and patronage have meant the world to us. To our dedicated staff, past and present—you are the backbone of this business, and we are forever grateful for your hard work and commitment.

The challenges of an uncertain economy and the struggles of small family businesses have made it impossible for us to continue. While this chapter is closing, the memories, relationships, and legacy of Boot City will live on.

When I took over the store back in 2018, my dream was to carry on the legacy my family built—something I’ve always been deeply proud of. It wasn’t just about running a business; it was about continuing a tradition, serving our community, and honoring the hard work that came before me.

For a while, it worked. We had great moments, shared successes, and built something special. But as life goes, things change. Circumstances evolve, and sometimes—even when it’s hard to accept—things have to come to an end.

While this chapter is coming to an end, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the years spent with an incredible crew who felt more like family, and a loyal customer base who made every day meaningful. Your support, your stories, and your trust meant everything.
