Kelly's Sewing Room has moved to Lynchburg, Virginia!

To my Richmond area customers - thank you so much for making the first year of my business so memorable! I have truly enjoyed getting to know you all and to hear your stories through your quilts and home decor projects. I will be visiting Richmond periodically, so I am still open to accepting work from the area - just contact me and we'll coordinate.

Meanwhile, I am excited to begin working in the beautiful city of Lynchburg! I look forward to meeting new customers, hearing stories, and exploring the unique cultural heritage of the area.

Today's job: repairing this BEAUTIFUL handmade vintage quilt. I love finding the perfect vintage replacement fabric to keep the authenticity of the quilt when repairing rips or holes. It's truly a joy to work with these pieces of daily life history, to think of the hands that first gathered the fabrics and crafted the quilts, and the familes that kept themselves cozy and warm with them.
