After months of sleepless nights, a few tears and endless discussions with family, we have made the decision to follow many other small shops and boutiques and close Grits and Grace. Owning a small business in today’s environment is extremely difficult. 2024 was a good year and we were hopeful for 2025 but tariffs have not allowed us to continue buying the merchandise that has sold so well. The cost of merchandise everywhere has increased and shipping costs are higher as well. All that coupled with the financial uncertainty everyone is feeling have left us with no other alternative. We will begin by offering 50 % off most of the store merchandise. There will be a few exclusions…mostly art and furniture. We hope to liquidate everything in the next 4-6 weeks. To all my customers and friends, I thank you so much for your business over the years. I will surely miss our visits and interactions over the years and hope to stay in touch.
