Many years ago we purchased what used to be “The Second Chance” here in Macon. So many folks used to buy from Cathey Smith and we knew we were buying Macon history.

The Smith family has been very supportive of us and our vision to bring 7th Street Salvage to life. They became cheerleaders, customers, and Cathey’s brother Willie became the 7th Street Salvage Santa.

We knew him as the jovial (and loud!) Santa, leather worker and Vietnam Vet. He was also a Santa at Bass Pro shops and other location. He loved being Santa, he read from his leather bound books and carried a leather “naughty and nice list” with the loudest “Ho, Ho, Ho!” you ever did hear.

While the news right now is about his passing, our hearts are with the Smith family.

Rest in Peace, Santa Willie.

Hello friends! We’ve heard from so many of you that did not have an opportunity to shop our Architectural Salvage Warehouse, or did not know we were closing, that we’re going to give you ONE last shopping day before the remaining inventory will go to auction.

🖤Next Saturday, Labor Day weekend, September 5, one day only, we will be open from 10 to 4. Everything will be 60% off, or we will work better deals depending on how much you purchase or if you bring cash.

✔️We will not hold inventory, so bring those friends and trucks and trailers to take your finds with you.

🌑A fair amount of inventory has been cleared out! Some categories have been completely sold now. But we still have doors, mantels, and odds and ends.

✔️At this time we cannot check for specific sizes or specific inventory, please plan your visit to come look around!

Alrighty friends, we’re moving onto the next phase of closing our architectural salvage business, 7th Street Salvage.

First, if you were interested in Wholesale purchasing, please contact Brent at 478-319-9771. This means a minimum of $2k (after discount)or a trailer load of merchandise. We will no longer be open to the general public.

Second, our almost 11,000 sq ft Warehouse is for sale. Corner of 7th Street and Walnut. (Owner is a licensed real estate agent with Murphy, Taylor and Ellis, in the state of Georgia.)

Third, after wholesale customers, we will begin auctioning the remaining inventory.

Today and tomorrow, folks. Come shop today and tomorrow. These will be our last two days our architectural salvage warehouse will be open to the general public.
