LAKE CHURCH EXPANSION AND ADDITION PROJECT
We want to answer a few questions about the church’s planned construction projects.
WHY?
We always start with the “Why” before we ever entertain the “what and the how.” God has done, is doing, and by His grace God will continue to do a great work in and through Lake Church. When we committed by faith to constructing the current Lake Church facility, we had no idea that God would immediately fill it up with a people who love Him and each other, and that we would very quickly need to have three services to facilitate the church family God would bring together at Lake Church.
When the original Lake Church facility was constructed, we committed to providing an environment in which people of all ages would feel welcome and loved in Christ so that we could reach them with the truth of the Gospel message. We were also very intentional about allocating space for the children who would attend church with us in order to allow their parents to worship and have confidence that their children were in an great environment learning about God and His plan of salvation and His will for their lives.
That commitment is the driving force behind our WHY.
We also realize that we need space to worship together cooperatively and prepare the way for God to continue growing the church. The expansion of the worship center to facilitate 708 people at one time will allow the church to return to two services and foster a closeness in corporate worship.

WHAT?
A $5.2 million dollar expansion and construction project.
I. Expansion of Lake Church Worship Center
Increasing occupancy to approximately 708 seats.
• Currently three services – largest of the three is over 350
• Smallest 120–130 on average
• Children in attendance – 120–140 on Sunday mornings
• Goal – two services
• Expansion requirement of 4,800 square feet (150x32)
Included in the expansion:
1. Additional seating for the worship center
2. Additional restroom space
3. Toddler room for ages (1–2 yrs old)
4. Nursery for bed babies
5. Cry room for mother and babies
6. Work room for children’s workers
7. Office for secure check-in of children

II. Construct a Children’s Facility
• Capacity for children – 200–220
• New construction requirement of 11,832 square feet (102x116)
This building will provide:
1. Classroom for preschool children ages 3 and 4 yrs old
2. Classroom school age kindergarten and PreK
3. Classroom for 1st grade
4. Classroom for 2nd and 3rd grade
5. Classroom for 4th and 5th grade
6. Worship area for children
7. Kitchen for children/youth and church fellowship
8. Offices for secure check-in of children, children’s minister, and assistant
9. Restrooms
10. Storage for tables and chairs

HOW?
Philippians 4:19 — “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
God will provide – Both Exodus Chapter 37 and 1st Chronicles 29 remind us that when God’s people who have a willing heart give to support the building of God’s house there is never a shortfall and always more than an abundance of resources. God will build His house (Psalm 127:1a), and we have the opportunity to share in the joy of taking part in what God is doing in this generation.
If God has given you a willing heart, we invite you to partner with us in this project that will allow Lake Church to provide a space for worship every Sunday morning, Wednesday evening and throughout the week as ministry takes place both inside and outside the doors of the church.
There are two ways to support this project financially. One way is to pray about a sacrificial gift that will provide seed money for the initiation of the construction of the expansion of the worship center and the addition of the children’s facility.
The other way to support this project is to commit to a monthly contribution to the building fund. There is no amount too small or too large. God will use any gift given with a willing heart. We completed a very general assessment of the monthly requirement, and it was noted that if only 1,000 people would commit $50.00 monthly, we would be able to make the monthly payment without infringing on any of our other growing ministries.
We realize God will lead some to give more than $50 per month while much less may be a sacrifice for others. We know that God measures the gift based on the heart of the gift giver. Most importantly, please pray that the Lord will guide every step of this building project.
