Most common questions how much is the alterations for WEDDING DRESSES…

Ummm…it all depends on the style of dress and customers request - it starts $150 or beyond.

The most I had done was $3,500 because of all customers request to change out bodice ordering right color of fabric and involving zillions of beadings I had to hand stitch beads back together (that was awful I did cry a lot seriously I even confessed to the customer I cannot do this dress we both thought those beads were tacked down on every 5 beads…well as I go into deeper into the dress … finding many were NOT tacked down she encouraged me to keep going and offered to help me finish the dress because it was taking way longer than I thought. Oh Woman!!… that customer was godsend she loved her dress! Her mother hugged me! Cuz I was Crying when I saw it fitted on her perfectly! 💞 I ain’t doing that crazy amount of relocating the beads anymore.

I guess my average ticket is $500 for standard basic works on the dress with 4 layers hem and take in & no lace removals…that isn’t scuba fabric material … I’ll save that story for next time!
