We are in the business of preserving the past so that it can be enjoyed by future generations. We recycle usable building materials keeping as much out of landfills as possible. What sets us apart is our specialization and passion for historical buildings and items. In turn, we are a supplier of architectural salvage, reclaimed building materials and vintage decor to the public. Homeowners, contractors, developers, DIYers and others can find a wide array of salvaged materials for almost any scale project. Since 1986 we have been deconstructing everything from homes to factories throughout Wisconsin, salvaging as much material possible. We take pride in the history of everything we save and in giving these items a chance to be enjoyed once again. Our doors have been closed to all but a select few over the past few years but we are now re-open to the public. Whether you are doing a small craft project, looking for wedding or photography props, restoring a historical home or even building out a new commercial development we welcome you to come take a look around.

Had to unexpectedly head out of town the past few days so a little light on photos and descriptions tonight … good news is I picked up some great items before leaving and the warehouse is still full of wonderful things for you to find as usual.

These were mounted to a wall most likely framing wall art in a prominent historic home in Milwaukee. The floral pattern is all highly detailed marquetry (similar to a wood inlay.

These could easily be converted to pier mirrors or used to frame artwork. Even a ceiling application would be cool, maybe with tin ceiling in the center?

We had an amazing opportunity this week to pick up some architectural pieces that all came from prominent historic homes in Milwaukee. These are things that came from the most elaborate “homes” built in the early years of the city.

Sorry to do this to you but all we are going to share are some teaser photos… some items will be available this weekend and there is plenty we will be getting out soon.

Items include, ornate trim, incredible doors, fireplace surrounds, picture frames, paneling and so much more!

We have the warehouse full of architectural salvage, antiques, reclaimed lumber and all sorts of fun finds for you as always…. but there’s much more happening this weekend than usual… On Saturday, October 3, we will have 15+ graffiti artists painting the entire 120’ of our building!

That’s not all! We are having this done in combination with Honeybee Cannabis Company’s 6th Annual GLASS FOR GOOD event happening next door at The Boneyard. The event starts at noon and there’ll be 15 local glass artists blowing glass live throughout the day, multiple food trucks, live DJ and loads of raffle prizes.
The main benefactor of this wonderful event including 100% of the raffle proceeds will be The River Food Pantry!

We’re excited to team up with our neighbor and local friends for this event!

Our shop will be open regular hours on Saturday and we may possibly stay open a little later for people to check out the warehouse. It’s gonna be a heck of a weekend and a great day Saturday. We hope you can stop by and show your support, watch the artists painting our building and also explore the warehouse.

All I can say is that you’re probably gonna want to swing by this weekend… we were able to source and get a TON of new inventory available for you! There is plenty more not pictured too.

Be patient with questions, I’ll answer as soon as possible but as usual it’s best to get here if in person you can. We’re most likely cheaper than Marketplace anyway 😂

We understand there might be a lot going on this Labor Day weekend but hoping we could be part of those plans. We’ll be open regular hours and hope you can come see all the things I didn’t have time to take pics of.
