Heeeeeey, so. Facebook refuses to give me notifications for comments/messages for the shop, and, since I refuse to receive or check notifications from Facebook for any other reason, if you actually want a response to a question, you should email or call the shop directly. There is also a submission form on the website that you can use.

Hello again Shoe Friends,
Monroe St Shoe Repair is planning* to be closed Jan 31-Feb 9 (open again on the 10th**). This should be our last closure for the scheduled future.***

We’re still 8 weeks out on repairs, which has always been calculated with this closure in mind.

Thanks, and remember to check your sandals for needed repairs now!

Hello shoe friends!
I just wanted to let everyone know that shoes dropped off this week won’t be ready until January, so it is definitely too late for those holiday heels, and you’ll be betting against the weather with those snowboots. But it’s a great time to bring in summer sandals and Bikenstocks!

Hi friends!
This is just a very early warning that Monroe Street Shoe Repair will be closed for Thanksgiving week, which, combined with our regular schedule, means we’ll be closed Nov 21-30.

Thanks,
Amy

Hi Everyone!

I'm not accepting new repairs for the month of May. I'm totally booked and need to focus on repairing the items I already have!! If you have items that need repair, you can bring them in again starting in June. The shop will continue to be open for item pickups and shopping during our regular business hours (Wednesday-Friday 10-6 and Saturdays 9-1).

I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been supporting Monroe Street Shoe Repair. Things are getting very busy now that things are opening back up and people are wearing shoes again. There are fewer shoe repair shops in Madison and no matter where you go, you are likely going to need to wait longer to get your items repaired.

Additionally, we will be closed on Saturday May 22nd and Saturday May 29th for a couple of days off.

Thank you!
Bridgit
