We love the energy of this building so much! ✨🦋✨

It’s ! In this photo, you see IMA(P)’s Co-Founders, Carrie Marlette and Melissa Droessler, surveying the outdoor space at our very first school building. ❤️

Our school opened its doors in 2012 as a private, non-profit organization founded in the belief that Montessori education should be accessible to all children and their families, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, geographic location, or even previous educational experiences. Since opening in 2012 with just two classrooms, we have grown and expanded to not only include the private, non-profit portion of our school, which now serves as a child care center; but have also opened our doors as a public charter school. In 2018, we made history by becoming the FIRST public AMI Montessori school in Madison! To this day, IMA(P) remains the only publicly funded Montessori school in Madison.

In 2021, we made history yet again by gaining World School Status from the International Baccalaureate Organization for our 11th and 12th grade levels. This recognition status allows for our high school students to earn college credits and allow their high school diploma to be internationally recognized. To this day, IMA(P) remains the only publicly funded IB World School in Madison.

Our school continues to grow and expand, supporting learners and their families from the time they begin their educational journeys in infancy, through the years of adulthood. Chrysalis will be open from noon until 6 PM today if anyone would like to pop by and visit! The shop is typically open when there are Hair clients booked, and today is a great day to stop in, have a free snack, sit in the sunny window, or just take a deep breath.
