Most recent cake (from 2 weeks ago, I have taken a quick break due to a family matter(everyone is ok, just had a little set back with mama dukes and her ability to walk 🙈)), and this completely slipped through the posting cracks! Cake made for a friends sons Birthday that make it safely from Huntsville to Tuscaloosa in one piece.
Fun fact, I started making cakes 1 year ago last month after signing up to volunteer bake for Cake4kids, once I realized how much I loved doing it I tested the waters to see if they would be worth selling, I offered up a handful of free cakes as a first come first serve basis and Mary Rogers Gregory was one of my first Free Birthday cakes, she loved it so much she shared with her friends and my next real and favorite customers Be Thu Nguyen was one of ny real first real paid cake orders where I got to test myself & my talents. Both have come back several times and I am forever grateful for them and everyone else who has shared, bought, eaten, viewed or even commented on my cakes.

Cakes of the week

Jack Daniel’s inspired 50th birthday- Vanilla cake & American buttercream, everything on the cake was edible (except the wrappers and alcohol bottles.

Plim Plim & Friends- 2 tier, top tier is Cookies & cream with, bottom tier was my signature Vanilla & American buttercream. All decor but the balls on the cake were edible.

Couple mini cakes for my nephews teacher.

Kindergarten Orientation banner for Heritage Elementary School

Then a cute Babydoll cake for Cake4Kids, that was Chocolate with American Buttercream.

Pastel cutie for a friends daughters Sweet Sixteen. That cake was Funfetti with American Buttercream.

And last but not least the biggest order to date was in addition to the PTA Kinder banner, we have your Ocean theme cake & banner (heavy on the 🫍 as requested) and the Five nights at Freddy’s (still have zero clue what that is even after my 8 yr old try to explain it to me. Both cakes were my signature Vanilla with American Buttercream. Everything was edible except the skewers holding the orca up.

Now it’s time for a Nap 🤣

Another cake from this last week, this was for the Husbands coworker who is leaving their job site here soon. Red Velvet is my least favorite cake (personally) however I made my own recipe that is a twist on my Signature Vanilla cake and it was so good and more dense and great flavor, I also made the frosting a Hybrid Cream cheese Buttercream. I was told by others it was amazing, I mean I did leave a layer and extra frosting so we could all test as well 😂

Cakes from this weekend

Baseball theme- Foster twins (it was an unofficial Cake4Kids cake because it was a friend and she wanted to make sure I was the baker if she submitted to the company and there isn’t a guarantee)
Decided last minute to make the main cake 2 tiers, because I’m crazy 🤪. Theme was Rookie of the Year- Double Header how cute right?!
Top tier is my chocolate cake, bottom tier is my vanilla cake with my new American Buttercream recipe that makes a world of difference from your standard. Mistakes were made on this one, I added to dowels on the bottom and a center dowel….. however I spaced out and forgot to add the middle board between the tiers and when I put the top tier on (has to be cold cold so you can handle it and not mess up the butter cream). I realized it AFTER I decorated the grass and stitched and had the center dowel in. So I had to disassemble and put everything back together (fun right?!)

I added the Caramel popcorn as a fun edible decoration & the tickets to the game were edible printed wafer paper 🎂

Then the smash cakes were both Vanilla & my ABC
I have to include a photo of one of the twins that destroyed 😆😆

Took a family trip to the beach, came back and went right back to work.

First up was a “Bearly Wait” baby shower cake & cupcakes from one of my sweetest customers.

• CAKE was Vanilla with American buttercream, decor was non edible.
• CUPCAKES were half Vanilla & Half Chocolate, decor was all edible.

next up was a cute Flamingo Cupcake cake for a customer & Cake pops that I did not get a photo of 🙈 (both were half Vanilla and half Chocolate)

Hey Batter batter swing! ⚾️

First cake of the week for Cake4Kids

3 layer 8” Chocolate Cake with American buttercream. The kicker here? Cake had to be dye free. The grass on the cake is made with Spirulina powder. Field is crunched up graham crackers. The scoreboard on the front is edible, however not dye free.

3 for 1 cakes for a cutie 7 year old (soon to be on the 28th)

3 cakes included on this 16x16 square board
Round cake is 2 layer chocolate chip cake
6 cake is my Signature Vanilla cake
7 is my Chocolate Chocolate cake

All cakes were made with my new American buttercream method, takes down the sweetness of your typical American buttercream. It’s perfection!!

Another super busy week/weekend in the books again.

So much fun with these!

Smiley cake was for a birthday, it was 6” 4 layers, 2 layers Chocolate and 2 layers Vanilla.

Mini tin Pastel Cakes because I miss counted ended up being 11 Vanilla & 11 Chocolate (whoops, good thing it was for my besties daughter)

Then the Pool theme cake was Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, buttercream edible image. Then we did 12 mini tin vanilla cakes for those non chocolate lovers ❤️
