The dye technique on the skirt is a twist gravity die. I’m so in love with these new techniques I’m learning!

I’m in Santa Fe now to pick up some cheap T-shirts and wiffle balls,(lol) for experimentation, coming up with all kinds of new patterns.

as shown in the last picture, this one was done in a rain gutter 💜🌧️🩵

I found out that there’s a whole community playing with die in new ways. And creating dies that separate dramatically.

I studied color therapy and I’m excited to try new ways to mix color. I will be showing these soon.

Obviously, today was just to help fulfill my love of purple 💜 hahaha

once I get these new techniques perfected… I will be working on figuring out how to share them with all of you!

I’m trying out some new techniques. While I’ve got some improving to do, I was shooting for the aurora borealis because it’s been such a big thing this year..

I do think I achieved that! lol

The shirt is gravity dyed.. while the skirt has three different techniques, scrunch, fanfold, and gravity.

I’m gonna sew it to a top. It’ll be a part of a dress when I’m done.

I included another picture of the shirt, taking in another room with different lighting. Can you believe it’s the exact same shirt??!? Hahaha proof lighting matters. ✨

I’ve been playing and making myself some new spring organic cotton h**p clothes.

Just in time for Valentines. 💘 I’ve got a few more on the table that do not involve hearts lol.

I’m fixing to try a couple new dye techniques. I’m excited.

I’m working on trying to start doing something where I can share with others again. Gonna start with my one size fits all wrap skirt… (not pictured) and a few others. Will have them available for sale. But this time not on Etsy, I wasn’t a fan.

I’m gonna teach Summer and Haley to sew and see if they can’t help me.

Being sensitive/allergic to all the toxic petroleum based polyester and all the different formaldehyde infused garments… If they are conventional clothes, even cotton is toxic. Between pesticides and the treatments that they heat set that never come out. Can be a pain in the butt… But honestly, I’m glad it led me to teach myself how to sew. I was already a dye artist so it just made sense.

I have always feel a bit awkward, taking pictures of them. If someone wants to come teach me to pose lol poser that I am.

The last few weeks I’ve been really struggling with my sewing machine and serger 🪡 … Mike and I realized I’ve outgrown my machines.

At the same time, they’re good machines so I was gonna be happy to stick with them, until yesterday, my serger clunked 💥 and went out of time and completely stopped! I have a huge stack of sewing in front of me. 🤦🏼‍♀️

We took it to Ryan’s Vac and Sew in Albuquerque to get it fixed… And Austin worked us such a good deal, we went ahead and upgraded both the machines!

Bernina sewing 🧵 machine with embroidery attachment, and Bernina serger are going to give me tons of room to learn and grow ! I’m pretty excited ❤️ I also made some new friends and family along the way.

Unpacking and organizing my closet.

A skirt I made in 2002. ✌️🖖 it was a wrap skirt because I didn’t really know how to sew yet. It was about making blank canvas for tie-dye.

I’m glad that skill led me to know what to do when I found out I’m allergic to most modern clothing… polyester and chemicals!

Not only did it help me to take my power back, but it was an actual lifesaver 🧵 🪡

I’m starting a new batch! Of the organic cotton h**p canvas, tie-dyed bags! In case anybody is interested. 💼💜

I’m doing a couple tie-dyes right now and am going to try some more patterns for fun. Have a few orders to fill.

🌈 Sky is the limit with colors!! Choose silver or brass, hardware and zippers.

We also do have a few more colors in the organic cotton canvas. Blue, gray, the green one pictured. .. I’ll work on getting some more pictures for those soon.

Here it is, y’all! The debut!! The first three bags 💼 are ready to release to the wild 🐯 🔥 🐘

The large is a convertible backpack, shoulder, or messenger bag. Seriously perfect airplane carry-on.

The second is a nice sized.. not too small to big ..Crossbody. This is the one I like to carry daily.

Next is a small phone, keys, and wallet pouch 💥 when you don’t want to have to take everything!

I’ll come back through the next few days and show each style in more detail!
