We discovered this one back in 2022 while searching for a place to renew our vows, and it felt like stepping back in time. Did you know Clingmans Dome was renamed Kuwohi in 2024, restoring its original Cherokee name? We made the climb through fog, stood at 6,643 feet, and soaked in the history of a place where the Appalachian Trail and Mountains to Sea Trail meet. It was beautiful, even with all the fog! 100% worth it.

Showed up to Cataract Falls and found a line to take a photo 🫣 So we looked across the creek, spotted the Cove Mountain Trail, and had the whole thing to ourselves, including a hidden waterfall! Sometimes the best part of the hike is the one nobody else took.
