When life’s events challenge our ability to lead like Jesus, times of solitude and dialogue with God become increasingly important. Above the wind and storm, we are able to reflect on the unchanging realities of life and gain an eternal spiritual perspective on events and people, including our own role and responsibilities. The Spirit wants to use these times to renew our strength, realign our perspective, and refresh our hearts. Will you let Him do this for you?
Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.—Psalm 8:1
Prayer: O Spirit of the living God, breathe life and hope and strength into me as I draw apart to spend time with You. Reveal Your majesty! Renew, refresh, and realign my perspective; let me see life as You see it. May I reflect You wherever You send me today. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
