Memorial Day hits a little different when you’ve worn the uniform. 🇺🇸
Before the cameras, the content, the jewelry, the brands, and all the wild places life has taken me… I was a soldier. And long before that, I was a ranch kid with a rope, a sorting stick, and dirt on my boots. Truth is, no matter how much life changes, you’ll never take the cowgirl outta me.
These days I get to tell stories, represent some incredible brands, and build a life outside the military that I’m genuinely proud of. But on days like today, the noise quiets down a little. I think about the friends who aren’t here anymore. The ones who never got the chance to grow older, chase dreams, raise babies, or reinvent themselves after service.
So today isn’t about algorithms or outfits or content.
It’s about gratitude.
It’s about realizing how lucky I am to still be here living this life — dusty boots, busy days, hard seasons, blessings and all. And maybe reminding myself to stop taking even the smallest parts of it for granted.
To those we lost — we remember you.
And to those still carrying pieces of them with us every day… I see you too. ❤️🇺🇸
