This post brought me to tears. We could not do what we do, create and donate over 27,000 sets to women going through chemotherapy without donors like Paper & Birch. We are so grateful.
A little over two years ago, I came across an incredible organization called Chemocessories , whose mission is to provide accessory sets to women undergoing cancer treatment. What may seem like a simple gift can help bring a little confidence, comfort, and joy during a very difficult time.
These photos are a look back at some of the very first pieces I donated. It’s fun (and a little humbling!) to see them again because my work, style, and skills have evolved so much over the years. Looking at these early designs reminds me not only how far I’ve come as an artist, but also how long I’ve been fortunate enough to support this wonderful cause.
Being a small part of Chemocessories’ mission has truly been an honor. Their volunteers create beautiful accessory sets using donated new and gently used jewelry, scarves, head coverings for women facing cancer.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, I encourage you to check out Chemocessories and consider making a donation. Sometimes a small act of kindness can make a bigger difference than we realize.
Thank you, Chemocessories, for allowing me to be part of something so special.
