Today is the day! The grand opening of Nightshade Relics! It’s been such a crazy year! A little over a year ago I opened my little shop. Then got surprised by a divorce. Thankfully Michelle Cozzaglio let me pick up a ton of Oddities & Curiosities Expo shows. I was able to get my own apartment, a nice little roof over my kitten’s head, pay my bills, get the Ladybug, etc. That entire time this lovely group of people were my supports, especially Kaya Bacon. They knew I could succeed even when I thought I couldn’t.
With all the traveling my poor little shop got neglected. I needed to make some changes. I brought Lexi Denver on in January, basically full time.
And then another miracle happened, the wee baby Faye came into our lives. Her showing up really got us talking about getting a shop together. With Kristen gone on maternity leave her shop wasn’t open. Then the economy took a nose dive. Small businesses were suffering. Instead of all of us suffering separately, we decided it was time to combine forces.
And then my grandma’s health started failing and she passed. I have never known grief like this. The depression has been just insane. Im still not ok.
Again it was this freaking group of baddies that came to my aid. Lex was at an Oddities & Curiosities Expo when I was at my grandmother’s side. Kaya was figuring out inventories and what he can make in the shop while I’m gone. Figuring out snacks and alcohol. Kristen and Ellorah were checking in. Hell they threw me a divorce party! I didn’t have to do anything but show up! They even cleaned up! Never have I experienced that!
I would walk through fire for this group of amazing, talented, brave, creative, beautiful people. The freaking work we have all put into this extraordinary. I still can’t believe how freaking gorgeous it is. All of our individual elements combining together has created this absolutely stunning home. Our individual shops were ours, our safe spaces, our babies. The new shop feels like a treehouse fort you share with your best friends (in some magical fae realm). I can’t wait for everyone to see it! I’m so proud of us!

Well I haven’t gotten one of these in awhile!!! Mystery candle!!! What’s your best guess?

I’ll open it tomorrow for the grand opening of Nightshade Relics !!! I still can’t believe it’s tomorrow!!! I’ll probably make some long sappy post in the morning about it. I just can’t believe it’s here and how gorgeous it is and I can’t wait to show it off!!! So freaking proud of Manitou Mineral Market and Kristen🌙 and I can’t wait to “officially” start this new adventure with you! And also to see what the mystery candle is!

In one week, I’m on my way to Scotland to see all these things and I’m so freaking excited I can barely stand it.

Hi friends !!! Lex here!!! This DREAM TEAM needed some soild rest after
We got the best food out in - ate big and slept on the sand ! I have never spoken to so many beautiful folks in my LIFE!!

Wanted to give a big shout out to Brian B for the beautiful photos ! We are so happy your lovely lady was able to find a beautiful new custom show peice and thrilled about your willingness to give us all an instant photoshoot.

I myself felt super EXCITED to get to wear some of the larger show peices this show !!! I got to model with the pirate and almost lost my hand
made hat lol they liked it so much.
I ALSO GOT TO SHOW THE beautiful hat TO Ve Neill and almost fainted from her kindness.

We had some vintage collected hand poured candles this show I really adored and felt so proud to send one of the skull necklaces home as well to the lovely Jennifer Robin LeBlanc!!!!

Thank you Lola the Clown for stopping in and causing some trouble with us and we truly hope to see you ALLLLLLLLLL next year !!!

I have been working extra hard this week getting done as many cauldron candles as possible for Richmond Oddities & Curiosities Expo this weekend! I even made some of the classic big cauldrons! Sadly I forgot we were flying this time and had to remove a couple from the bag due to weight restrictions. Which flavors and how many I have of each 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows! It will be a surprise for all of us! That being said the big cauldrons will be limited this weekend.

I’m also trying out a new dressing style for the Samhain candles! Come by and let me know what you think!

Midsummer Scream!!! What a way to welcome me back!!! I love this show and getting to introduce Lexi Denver to it was so much fun!!!

I can’t believe how many customers were so excited to have me back and how many new friends we have made! A big thank you to Lexi who let me stay in the hotel room Friday and most of Saturday creating. I haven’t done big fancy hats in a while and the face they were to well received makes my heart so happy! We are already making plans for next year!

Now we are going to have a much needed beach day and then go be spooky bi***es on the Queen Mary!!!

I’m so freaking excited to be back at Midsummer Scream!!! I have been working incredibly hard to make some really awesome pieces for my triumphant return…. Some of which I’ll be finishing up here in the hotel room shortly… is it Midsummer Scream if I’m not finishing stuff in the hotel room 🙃 the joys of handmade lol

Last night Lexi Denver and I went wandering around the area. We went to see the Queen Mary, hung out with some night fishing guys on the pier, took in some sights, and found little bits of Midsummer Scream all over the place. I love it here 🖤🎃

🌻New Tea Recipe!!

Angela Hartshorn and Lexi Denver have been making their way to California with the first bags of our new Lughnasadh Tea! 🫖 We wish them luck with the 19 drive to Long Beach lol🫡

This gorgeous tea is debuting at Midsummer Scream this weekend available alongside a mountain of restocked products we’ve been working hard on for the past few weeks🎃
