This started during a sound bath — not as an image exactly, but as movement, texture and layers. I kept thinking about how sound could take up physical space: how some tones seemed to hang in the air, while others moved through me or disappeared almost as quickly as they arrived.
When I started working, I tried not to recreate anything too literally. Instead, I followed the memory of what I had heard and felt … the shifts in rhythm, density, repetition and weight. The materials became a way of translating those sensations into something physical, letting each section fall, gather, interrupt and move into the next.
Thank you to the talented caseygoch for bringing out my creativity with her talents 💕
