It’s been a long time since I felt well enough to sew. Since I last posted , we have moved back to Grand Rapids from West Virginia . I have started a new enterprise! I am restyling wedding dresses into Christening gowns. Stay tuned for more updates soon ! Thank you so much for all my family and friends for their support and prayers the last few years .

Well fans, I’ve done it! I am selling a few of my samples on Etsy. I have to make room for some new things. I have a great source for silks and I’m very excited to see the designs I have been working on take shape. Check out WhisperingStitches on Etsy! We are back in Grand Rapids but I want to take a moment to thank clients and friends in West Virginia for your love and support!

I have not been sewing for a long time. I was ill for a while but am now in remission. Thank you so much to all the wonderful people who have stuck with me thru this difficult time by your patience as I finished commissions and by liking my page. My husband and I sold our home in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Martinsburg, West Virginia to be close to our daughter. I have decided that my health is good enough that I can now take more commissions. As part of that renewal process, I have decided to sell some of my sample gowns to make room for new designs and fabrics. I will be posting pictures and prices over the next few weeks. So keep an eye on Whispering Stitches! There will be some great bargins on a hand sewn Christening gown for that special someone!

This last year has been a doozie! Last March I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I have been concentrating on getting well. I am now in remission! Thank you all for the kind thoughts and prayers. I did not sew this past year. I think God knew I could not handle one more thing. But now I'm back! Full of imagination and ready to sew! Christmas is a wonderful time to give a beautiful one of a kind, hand sewn item. Call me and we will talk ( or face book).
