Mason Family Eye Care

Mason Family Eye Care Mason Family Eye Care was formed in 1976 by Dr. Glen A. Linsley following his graduation from the Ohio State University's College of Optometry.

Celebrating 50 years in business, our practice has been family owned and operated since 1976 and offers comprehensive eye care services and in-demand lenses and frames to Mason and the surrounding communities. Having been raised on a farm on the outskirts of Charlotte, Michigan, Dr. Glen's upbringing made him a suitable candidate to serve the beautifully quaint city of Mason. In 1979, Dr. Linsley'

s brother Ed joined the team as an optician, beginning what would be a lifelong partnership. The Linsley brothers would prescribe and dispense numerous spectacles and contact lenses as a team that still continues to this day. In 2010, Dr. Glen's eldest son Chad graduated from Ferris State University, becoming the practice's second optometrist. In April 2011, both doctors celebrated their first year of practice together by traveling to Kenya to prescribe and dispense spectacles and ocular pharmaceuticals for 380 Kenyans in four days. The practice, less than five minutes off US 127 South, provides both vision and medical care. Mason Family Eye Care can meet visual needs including spectacles and contact lenses, pediatric and geriatric care, low vision and ocular disease management, and after-hour care for ocular emergencies. Mason Family Eye Care's vision is to enhance yours in a way that is personal, professional, and trustworthy.

One of the most meaningful parts of this project has been realizing it’s been so much more than just doctors and staff working on a new building. From patients generously lending trailers (and even more offering theirs) to people showing up early in the morning to help move equipment, we’ve been deeply moved by the support of our community.

This experience has reminded us how fortunate we are to serve here, surrounded by such generosity and care. For every bit of time, energy, and help that’s been given during this busy season, we’re incredibly grateful—and we look forward to finding even more ways to give back.

Tomorrow is moving day - see you at 104 S. Lansing Street on Monday!

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful holiday weekend with family and friends.

We look forward to seeing everyone when we reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday.

If you spend all day at a computer wearing multifocal lenses, eye strain and neck pain don’t have to be “just part of the job.”

Ask our opticians about Immersia occupational lenses — designed to make office work more comfortable and visually effortless.

Varilux’s XR Series is created with over a million eyeglass-wearer data points, so it predicts your natural eye movement.

The office will be open tomorrow (Friday) at 8am for your eye care needs and will be closed after 12pm. We will be open again at 9am on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Coming Soon!!
Mason Family Eye Care is excited to introduce the next evolution in anti-reflective technology—Crizal Natural Look coating, launching April 14th!
Designed to deliver the most natural viewing experience yet, this innovative coating minimizes glare without the typical reflective hue, offering a clearer, more seamless look than ever before.

Did you know that 74% of lens wearers are bothered by reflections when using digital screens? Crizal Natural Look is engineered to address this with:
• Reduced light intensity from reflections
• Minimal residual color
• Improved consistency across different viewing angles
The result? Lenses that appear nearly invisible—providing crisp, comfortable vision that feels as close as possible to not wearing lenses at all.

We’re proud to bring this next-generation technology to our patients and can’t wait for you to experience the difference.
📅 Available starting April 14th!

Vision plays a vital role in every stage of life. Without healthy vision, people can struggle to learn, walk, read, and fully participate in school or work. Lions have been dedicated to serving and advocating for those who are blind or visually impaired.
In 1990, Lions International launched the SightFirst program, bringing together Lions, healthcare providers, and global partners to combat preventable and reversible blindness—and to support those living with vision impairment.
Something as simple as a pair of glasses can change a life. While refractive errors are easily corrected, millions of people around the world still lack access to basic eye care. That’s why Lions collect usable eyeglasses to recycle and redistribute to those in need.
Mason Family Eye Care is proud to support this mission by offering a donation box for the Lions Club. We gladly accept gently used glasses, cases, and hearing aids.
Stop by to learn more or to drop off your donations—your old glasses could help someone see a brighter future!
