It’s happening tomorrow! Starting early in the morning teams will begin filling up Choctaw Avenue to light their grills and smokers. They will be competing for prize money but they also want to make you smile when you try their food.
This is a free event for the public. Teams will be cooking all day and watching and smelling 25 grills burning at the same time is magic in itself, but if it’s great food you’re after the best time for you to be here is from around 2:00 to 5:30 or so. It’s not complicated. Just walk around and sample great food. Maybe have a beer from one of our two breweries such as Prairie Artisan Ales or BierKraft or a glass of wine from Spaceship Earth Coffee.
Large screens will be broadcasting college football in the street right in the middle of it all, including the OU-OSU game. Barbecue, beer, football and great weather? You bet.
Following the awards there will be live music inside Spaceship Earth when Crow and Gazelle hit the stage at around 7:30.
