Myra Woodruff - In Memoriam

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Meadows Professor and former Chair of the Division of Dance, Myra Woodruff. Myra departed this world yesterday morning with her loving sisters by her side. She was a highly respected and beloved family member, friend, colleague and mentor. Myra played a significant role in maintaining the Martha Graham legacy, in her teaching of master classes and re-staging Graham’s masterworks. Throughout her time at Meadows, Myra touched the lives of many with her passion, wisdom, and humor and was a fierce defender of the arts and their crucial role in elevating the human spirit.
