when you loosen your grip on
who you thought you had to be.

unbecoming is removing the layers,
you once wore for survival,
for love, for approval
and realizing they were never your skin.

and in the space you begin
to feel your own shape again
not defined by who stayed, left and who
never saw you,
but by the quiet certainty
of your own truth.

unbecoming is choosing yourself
without explanation, standing in your femininity,
like it's power, not something to soften or contain,
and never shrinking again.
