That is a great question… In case you haven’t guessed, my name is Amber Darlene! I am a 35 year old wife and mother, and I live in a small rural town in Ohio. I started Amber Darlene Designs in my home, in the Spring of 2021 after very quickly falling in love with creating clay jewelry. I had been looking for a creative outlet to help with my anxiety and depression, and along came clay. I have alw
ays had a passion for beauty and fashion so when I stumbled across a clay jewelry tutorial it felt like something I would truly enjoy, and boy was I right. Choosing colors, jewels, shapes and styles brought my creative mind back to life. The feeling of creating something that can help boost someone’s confidence and to bring about a general feeling of happiness is something that helped fill a certain sense of purpose I had been searching for most of my adult life. After a few months of just selling my creations online and on social media, I was blessed with an opportunity to lease a storefront in a brand new, up and coming makers mall. I took the leap, signed the lease, and began designing my dream storefront. After weeks of planning and finally setting the plan into motion, my amazing brother and I brought my vision to life. I knew nothing about building a storefront and thankfully he knew enough to get us started and we continued to learn together as we built my dream (though he did majority of the heavy lifting, sorry bro lol). I’m thankful for him and his unwavering support in everything I do in life, including this journey into starting my small business (love you Jake!). So here I am, running a business that brings me just as much joy (if not more) than my amazing customers. I am learning something new every single day, and loving every second of it. I am so thankful for this opportunity, and truly cherish the connections I have made along the way. My hope is to continue to grow Amber Darlene Designs into a full boutique atmosphere that will bring warmth, confidence, and happiness to all who shop here. Last but certainly not least, I want to mention my amazing husband Trevor and our son Brendan for continuing to believe in me when I start to lose belief in myself.
