🐝👀 Dr. Duong + Bees = A Buzz-Worthy Weekend! 🍯

Dr. Duong decided to give beekeeping a try over the weekend! Let’s just say… he got a little closer to the bees than your average eye doctor does. 😂🐝

But here’s a fun fact you might bee surprised to learn: When bees feel threatened, they can go for the eyes! 👀🐝 That’s one more reason to protect those peepers when you’re working around a hive.

👀 Episode 4 of “What Causes Blurry Vision?” 👀

Today's culprit : Astigmatism!
And yes... try saying astigmatism three times fast.
We'll wait. 😂

So, what exactly IS astigmatism?

Think of your eye like a camera. 👁📸 Ideally, the front of your eye (the cornea) is smoothly rounded, like a basketball. With astigmatism, the cornea, or sometimes the lens inside the eye, has a more oval or football like shape.

Because of that uneven curve, light doesn't focus evenly on the retina. Instead of one sharp image, light can focus in different directions, causing things to look blurry, stretched, shadowy, or distorted. You may also notice glare around lights, headaches, eye fatigue, or frequent squinting.

The good news? Astigmatism is common and usually very manageable. We can check for it during your comprehensive eye exam and determine whether glasses, contacts, or another option can help give you clearer vision.

If things are looking a little more "wobbly" than wonderful, it might be time to get those eyes checked! 👀✨
