Security Breach at White House Gala, What We Know Now?

​Secret Service stops armed suspect at major event. ​During the White House Correspondents’ gala, a security breach occurred when an individual attempted to rush the venue. President Donald Trump, who was evacuated alongside the First Lady and Cabinet members, later described the suspect as a "sick person" during a briefing. The U.S. Secret Service confirmed the suspect was heavily armed with multiple weapons but was apprehended near a security checkpoint before entering the main ballroom. One officer was reportedly struck in their ballistic vest but remains in stable condition as the investigation continues into the motive.

​The suspect has been identified by law enforcement as a 30-year-old male from California. Following the incident, the President praised the "brave and fast" response of law enforcement, noting that the situation was neutralized quickly.
