Megan | Co-Owner, Fleet Feet Treasure Valley & Events/Races Guru

Megan’s life has revolved around running since she was 8 years old, when she first discovered her love for racing and beating all the boys on the playground. She bought her first real pair of running shoes at her local Fleet Feet and went on to compete in both track and cross country at Stanford University and Boise State University.

A pivotal moment in Megan’s running journey came when she signed up for the Race to Robie Creek. The experience reignited her love for the sport, sparked a passion for mountain and trail running, and ultimately led to a professional running career. Today, while she still enjoys competing, her favorite part of the running community is helping others pursue their goals and discover what they’re capable of.

“Running has been such a big part of my life. I literally wouldn’t be where I am today without it, and I love sharing that joy and experience with others. Building community is incredibly rewarding, and I love being out at races and events, cheering people on and helping them achieve their goals, no matter what those goals may be.”

“I recently had foot surgery, but I’m looking forward to running some fast, flat 5Ks and 10Ks in the fall of 2026. I’m also planning to run a mountain marathon on the Fourth of July for the second year in a row.”

Alex’s journey in the running industry started in high school as an outfitter at Fleet Feet Elmhurst. From there, he went on to run track and cross country at Belmont University while managing several Fleet Feet locations in Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout his career, one thing has remained constant: a passion for helping people discover what they’re capable of and supporting them every step of the way.

What a morning at the Treasure Valley Rescue Run! 🎉🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A huge shoutout to all the runners, walkers, kids, and even our four-legged friends who joined us at Reid Merrill Park in Eagle for an incredible day of community, movement, and fun!

The beautiful weather made for a perfect morning on the course, and even Alma got in on the action with a cruise along the Boise Greenbelt! 🐾💙

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported a great cause, and helped make this event so special. We loved seeing all the smiles, high-fives, and finish-line celebrations! 🙌✨
