Info for prom girls!! If your prom is that last weekend in March and you haven’t talked to me yet, please do so. I’m already booked out and looking at that week for dresses to be ready that come in today.

With that being said, if you have an April prom coming up, you need to reach out as well. I’m usually booked out 4-5 weeks on turn around time for dresses to be ready. Want to make sure I can get everyone in that needs alterations! Bring your shoes with as well to your fittings.

You can message me on here or call/text 712-898-7341 to set up appointments. If I’m working with a customer, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. My afternoons and evenings get crazy with appointments.

Long post!

We’re coming up on Christmas! I will be out of the shop December 21-January 4th, back in on the 5th. Going to take some time with family. The week I return is getting busy with brides and bridemaids. I do have a few prom girls on the calendar as well. Feel free to message me while I’m out and I will return your messages as I can.

Friday, January 9th is the Le Mars Bridal Expo at the Plymouth County fairgrounds. If you or someone you know is getting married, feel free to stop out and see all things related to weddings. I’ll be there with my gal Donita, to talk to all of you about dress alterations.

With brides I do like to see you closer to 4-5 months ahead of your wedding to get started on alterations and get you in my rotation. I know sometimes dresses don’t arrive til closer to the wedding if you’re ordering one, so please contact me so I can write you down and get you in when it arrives.

Bridesmaids, mothers, and any guys with suits for a wedding, I don’t need to see you til closer to 2-3 months ahead of the wedding.

Prom girls, I would love to see you around the 2 month ahead mark as well. Some proms are early, at the end of March, so make sure you contact me to get in.

Anyone coming in for dress alterations needs to bring their shoes they plan to wear or something similar in height. If you have any specific undergarments you want to wear with your dress, bring those as well. I do have bust cups on hand if you need those sewn in. With brides I do require a $75 deposit at the first fitting but not for any of the others.

A reminder, I’m not in the shop on weekends. I do appointments Monday through Friday as early as 8am. Monday through Wednesday are the evenings I can stay later til 6pm or so. Thursdays I do last appointment at 530pm and Fridays between noon and 3pm depending on the week.

Just a heads up for my customers coming to Merrill! They are working on the railroad tracks that go across highway 75 starting next week. Here is the information:

The Iowa Department of Transportation and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad will be closing U.S. Highway 75 in both directions at the BNSF railroad crossing south of Merrill next Monday, April 7th. Weather permitting. the full closure will last for 12 days.

Crews from BNSF and the Iowa DOT will perform work around the crossing. A rail crew will replace the rail crossing surface and the Iowa DOT will start the pavement replacement of Highway 75 at the crossing.

There will be separate detour routes for north- and southbound traffic on U.S. 75. Northbound traffic from Hinton will travel east on Plymouth County road C-60, north on county road K-49, then west on county road C-38 to reach U.S. 75. Southbound traffic in Merrill will be diverted west on Main Street, then south on 3rd Street/Iowa 470 to reach U.S. 75.

Prom girls!! It’s come to my attention that there are MANY schools having prom April 5th. I think because Easter is later this year, lots of schools are trying to do proms early. That being said, please start bringing in your dresses with your shoes, as soon as you can. I have atleast 8 schools for that date that I’ll be doing dresses for.

I know Lemars community and Gehlen are the same date this year on April 5. I get prom girls coming from all around, up to an hour drive out from Merrill. Thanks! 😊

Long post for brides and prom girls! ☺️

It’s getting close to Bridal Expo time! This year the Bridal Expo in Lemars will be at the Plymouth county fairgrounds in the Century Hall building from 5-8:30pm on Friday, January 3rd. It’s a great time for future brides to check out all things bridal! I will be there again to chat with brides about their alterations.

A little information for soon to be brides:

*I like to see you 4-5 months ahead of the wedding to get started. If the dress isn’t going to be in til closer to the wedding, please touch base with me to get on my calendar.

*I want you to bring shoes and any specific undergarments with you that you plan to wear with your dress. I do have bust cups on hand if you need those sewn in.

*With brides I do require a $75 deposit at the first fitting and that will get deducted from your total.

*Bridesmaids and mothers I don’t need to see til closer to 2-3 months ahead of the wedding.

Prom season is also around the corner. A little information for the prom girls:

*Bring your shoes with you to your appointment

*I am usually booked out 4-5 weeks on turn around time to have things done that come in. So please allow some time. If you can get the dress to me closer to 2-3 months ahead of the date of prom, that is great.

Thursdays I do last appointment at 530pm and Fridays around 3pm. I will be taking time off with the family over the holidays, so will be gone from the afternoon of December 20th through January 1st. I will get back to messages as I can during that time frame.

Oh prom season! It’s already crazy in here!

Prom girls: Dresses that come in right now, I’m already looking out to March 22nd for them to be ready to go. I know the first proms of the season are April 6th, so get in here soon if you’re one of the first proms. Appointment times for the evening next week are booked already. I do have a few spots still available for Wednesday the 28th mid afternoon if you have an early out that day. The following week of March 4th I have after school/evening times available. Message me on here or call/text 712-898-7341. If I’m with customers, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Brides: If you have a summer wedding, be reaching out to me now to get on my books. I like to see you closer to 4-5 months ahead of the wedding. Bridesmaids and moms I don’t need to see til closer to 2-3 months ahead of the wedding.

Reminder: I’m not in the shop on weekends. If I’m not near my planner, I don’t usually answer calls or messages. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can, but sometimes it is Monday morning before I can.
