I saved these beauties from the landfill yesterday. We have a little trailer at our local transfer station where people put “still good” items. At the end of the day all these things get thrown away to make space for new items people donate the next day. I like to go at the end of the day and scoop up as much as If I don’t like it, I’ll still save it and donate it. Do you save items from your local transfer station? Would you have saved these? Did you make houses for a leprechaun or did you try to trap one? My kiddos and I decided to make some vacation homes to entice the leprechauns to stay awhile. Elena thought it would be mean to trap one. We reused old milk cartons, covered them in paper, then pained and embellished them with stickers and fun felt table scatter. We also left some lucky charms for a little snack. Can you guess which one is Desmond’s and which is Elena’s?

I finally did it! I made my basket wall! It only cost me $7.00. I’ve been thrifting and saving baskets from our local transfer station for a little over a year. The big round circles and a couple of the small baskets I saved from the landfill. The others I found at local thrift stores for 1.00. What do you think? Do you like basket wall decor? Desi having an amazing time painting a canvas with his new bestie Jaemis. We have been having such a blast at our mommy and me classes with . This was our last class for the month, but we are excited to sign up for more. There are always fun age appropriate activities that help with different areas of development, laughs and snacks. I could t ask for a more warm, inviting and fun class to take Desi to once a week.

DIY Leprechaun Binoculars! We had so much fun making these. I had Elena pick out the ribbon scraps she likes and I used the hot glue gun to put it all together. I showed Elena how we were recycling the paper towel roll and the extra ribbon scraps we had. Are you excited to look for leprechauns this year?

You can’t pick your nap time or your family, but you can pick your nose. Desi has been fighting the morning naps, and I’m sure he will drop it soon. He is very cranky without it. When did your kids drop their morning nap? Car rides are our best friend still.
