I had the pleasure of altering her daughter’s prom dress! A stunning blue lace gown. One of the fun custom pieces we added was taking the tie from her date and adding some of the hem scraps to match it perfectly! This is a new item I’ve offered for the last couple years. A special bag made from the mother of the brides wedding gown. This bow was on the back of the dress and a beautiful bar was constructed to be a beautiful base. The original dress had lots of lace and beading so to tie that in, some of the lace was put on the inside as well! What would you have made out of a special clothing item?

I’ve know Marissa for many years, so it was an absolute privilege to work on her wedding dress! We did the expected alterations, fitting the bodice, hem and bustle. Custom off the shoulder sleeves were made as well!

Monday housekeeping post! Thank you to everyone who brought me a prom dress or who is currently scheduled for a prom dress for the 2026 season! Worried your shapewear is going to pop out of the top of your wedding dress? Worry no more! Ask about having boning tab to be stitched into your dress!

This group of blankets went off to a whole family! Two of them were stitched in the deluxe style (5x5ft and 6x6ft) and the last one was stitched in the basic style at 4x5ft.

Just a refresher since I’ve gotten a dozen+ inquiries this week. Due to the demand of the bridal season memory projects like this are an exclusive winter project. You may see me post them now but that’s because they were gifts over the holiday season and I didn’t want to ruin the surprise!

Drop offs start in October with Christmas gifts dropped off before Thanksgiving. Any non Christmas gifts can be dropped off as late as early January with final pick ups as late as early February. I wish I could offer them during graduation season as I used to 5-6 years ago but that time is now filled with a dozen+ prom dresses and 30-40 wedding and formal gowns per month. I am only one person and my bridal projects are already 90% full through the end of August and 80% full through the end of October.
