A moment for this gorgeous custom mantilla veil for my stunning bride Miranda. In addition to her wedding gown we spent time making the perfect veil for her wedding day. This lace trim was removed from the hem of her mom’s wedding dress. We built up the center bottom and had a custom embroidered design added to the middle!

Projects like this do take a lot of time (10+ hours in stitch time alone! Not including all the prep before it get to the machine.) If you’re interested in a custom veil like this I highly recommend staring it during the winter months when I have more available time. I’m an absolutely obsessed with this project and I’m so thankful for the patience of both Miranda and her mom who were amazing during this custom process!

My Christmas season drop off window is only two weeks away! While most of October is fully booked for memory projects November still has a couple lingering openings! The cutoff date for Christmas gifts is November 24th! Don’t wait until the last minute! These dates won’t be open for long!

Pictured is a deluxe style memory blanket stitched approximately 5x6ft with a light gray fleece. One question I always get asked is can jerseys be used in blanket. Yes! This is an excellent example of this! Whenever possible I try to include the necklines as well.

As we head into the winter months/holiday gifting season, I’m posting a refresher of some of the many gown repurposing projects that I offer! These are great things to have custom made for your 2027 bride! Give it as a Christmas gift, bridal shower or wedding day gift! Many of these can be done months before the wedding in addition to with your wedding gown alteration appointments.

As the last couple weeks of peak wedding season are rapidly approaching I’m already filling my books for the 2027 season! Bride appointments fill in pretty quick. Below are some updates and reminders.

❤️ Most of my 2027 peak bridal months are 80-90% booked by the beginning of March.
❤️ If you prefer an evening or Saturday date, those typically book 6-9 months in advance.
❤️ There are weekday openings available as well but those schedule 5-7 months in advance.
❤️ You don’t need to have your dress in hand to schedule your appointment. We can base it off of the expected arrival date. It’s significantly easier to move back an appointment vs try to find a date when appointments are filled up.
❤️ Bridesmaids and moms dresses do have a little more flexibility but waiting 6-10 weeks before the wedding won’t leave you with many options.
❤️ Prom forgets about bridal and bridal forgets about prom season. During the months of March - early May there are a limited of reserved dates available specifically for prom dresses. Many of them evening, Saturday or during spring break. Once the dates are gone they’re gone. Please don’t wait until the week of prom to schedule alterations.

Kaylees dress was the absolute perfect Disney princess inspired look! Finding a gorgeous dress and ordering fabric we were able to make her puff sleeves custom for the best finishing touch! In addition to the custom sleeves, bodice work, hem and bustle were also done. With extra fabric leftover we were able to make a pocket square!

If you’ve worked with me at all in the last 8+ years you may have heard the story about how I got my passion for sewing from my grandmother. Many of the members of my moms side immigrated here from Sicily looking for a better life. Many of my relatives worked as tailors and seamstresses for their careers here. I am the only member of my family that took this craft on as my full time career and business. I’m sad to share that this wonderful woman who taught me the foundation of sewing, unfortunately passed away a few weeks ago after 91 wonderful years. I’ll continue to carry on her legacy not only in the sewing projects I complete but the dozens of recipes and other creative crafts that she taught me along the way. Thank you to those who gave me the flexibility where I needed it these last few weeks. Heaven gained a great one, rest easy Joya. ❤️🪡
