This little ball of sunshine is Keira!

Keira has been a tremendous asset to the Duke’s Team, and we are so happy to have her. She has the most adorable puppy she loves to play with (she fits in great with our team-all dog lovers!). She also really enjoys time with her family, including an adorable niece and nephew she loves to visit. She and her mom have a side business they love and enjoy, and they share a special bond.

She will be here a few days each week during the day! Please come by to say hi and meet our sweet Keira!

My Granny’s Table

This sweet, little, round table sat in my Granny’s kitchen my entire childhood. Do you struggle to remember pieces of a place that’s precious to your heart? I do. I wish I could remember more! But, I do vividly remember this table and meals shared at it. My Granny was a tenacious woman who worked very hard to raise my mother and her brothers. The past several years have revealed to our family that she carried a lot of struggle, too. I love the beauty and innocence of childhood because, although her heart was likely heavy for much of her life, I never knew that. Her love for me was pure and simple. She was a safe, comfortable place. While my memories of her home have faded, I will cherish the few I have around this table. Her Christmas tree. Her curio cabinet filled with elephants. Eating these terrible, frozen, yogurt fruit bars that I thought were a treat when I was little. And, her peppermints. She always had peppermints on her table and in her purse. I’d sneak them during church at Sacred Heart Cathedral. She was precious to me. And I have no doubt that she would be proud that this table is now hosting kids doing Bible Studies on Saturday mornings. It’s everything I desired for this space summed up in a picture. Some old. Some new. Memories. Slower paces. A place for our youth to gather.

Yesterday morning at the coffee shop sure filled my cup. We are blessed! And we are thankful for your business and continued support.

Morning again!

If you know our family, you know my daughter and I love Dolly Parton! Her light, her love for the Lord, her humble beginnings, her whit, her class and sass…we just love her! She was a great person, a phenomenal woman, and a philanthropist.

The rest of this week, we will offer Dolly’s Smokey Mountain Mocha Iced Latte for $6. 💃
