I honestly don’t even know where to begin. 🥹
Reading this article and seeing my story shared means so much to me — because this boutique has never just been “a store.”
I grew up in this world. My mother had me ringing up customers at 11 years old, learning how to talk to people, fold clothes, help women feel confident, and create a place people actually wanted to come back to. I didn’t realize it then, but those moments shaped my entire life.
I’m also proud to be Mesa born and raised — which makes having my own business in Downtown Mesa feel that much more special. 🤍
Over the years, I’ve met SO many incredible people through this journey. Customers who became friends. Women who’ve shopped with us through every season of life. Families who continue to support our little dream year after year. 🫶
Owning a small business isn’t always easy — there have been exhausting days, scary moments, and plenty of figuring-it-out as I go — but this community has continued to show up for us through it all. And I will never take that for granted.
Thank you for supporting The Boutique.
Thank you for shopping small.
Thank you for believing in us.
And thank you for allowing me to continue doing something I’ve loved since I was practically a kid. 🤍
Downtown Mesa, Arizona has become home in so many ways, and I’m beyond grateful to continue growing here with all of you.
Thank you, Mesa Tribune, for sharing our story. 🫶
For Lacey Barta, running a boutique isn’t just a business – it’s something she grew up with.
“She had me ringing up customers at the age of 11,” Barta said of her mother, who owned a boutique before her. “I grew up in it.”
Barta is continuing that legacy in downtown Mesa while putting her own stamp on her business, The Boutique.
