My hardware, canvas, vegan leather and zipper tape that I ordered for my next handbag arrived this week! I’m still waiting for my fabric from South Korea…I absolutely LOVE the dragonfly zipper pulls! My only disappointment is that the “Rambling Rose” canvas is darker than the photo in the listing. It may still work bc the materials don’t need to be a spot-on match..as long the colors with the floral print are all complimentary…maybe..🤔 It compliments the khaki green zipper tape really well…and it’ll be the interior of the bag n not really visible..🤔 While I’m waiting for my fabric and overthinking all the details, I’ll be working on my next order this weekend.😊

I’ve taken a break from sewing orders to spruce up my yard..killing weeds 😫and garden/landscaping before it gets too hot. Got a couple more weeks of work to go before I’m done. I can’t wait to get back in my sewing room! I think I’m booked through Christmas! I may be able to take a couple more orders…How cute is my happy little garden frog?!🥰

Sometimes I have all or most hardware and materials needed to make a boutique style handbag. This time I had to order EVERYTHING! Ugh..from 4 or 5 online shops. Including the fabric and bag pattern, I’ve spent $200. Of course a chunk of that is shipping..Oh well, it’s still cheaper than therapy..and I’ll have enough materials leftover to make a matching wallet, or even another handbag. That’ll keep me busy for a few weeks.😊 My favorite hardware is the dragonfly zipper pulls to go with the khaki green zipper tape.💕 I’m using all light gold hardware.💛 Now I have to patiently wait for everything to arrive..

I’ve got the itch to make another bag n shopping at 6am could be dangerous. But, all I ordered was a yard of this beautiful traditional Korean floral print named “Joyful”. It’s being shipped from Seoul, Korea so I have plenty of time to decide on a bag pattern, coordinating materials and bag hardware. I think I’ll go with a neutral cork leather, butter cream canvas for the interior, pink or olive green zipper tape and light gold hardware.🤔

I started this t-shirt quilt Monday. It’s made from a collection of BMX racing t-shirts. I finished it tonight!😅 I try not to take longer than a week to complete. I quilted along both sides of all the seams to lock in the raw edges. The backing is a light weight, buttery soft, minky fleece.
