College move-in: YEAR THREE. 🥹📦🤍❤️

And while I’ve learned a thing or two along the way, the biggest one might be that COZY IS KEY.
This year I finally gave Chase’s college mattress a much-needed upgrade with an Avocado Green Mattress mattress topper…..and goodness it’s so comfy I’m tempted to get one for Johnny and me! We layered on all the things that make her sorority bedroom feel a little more like home. Fresh bedding, favorite pillows, photos, art and all those little pieces of home that make her bedroom feel a little cozy & inviting.
Three years later, I’ve got the move-in down. The leaving her part? Not sure I’ll ever master that……Good luck students and GO HOOSIERS!!

The try-on-every-pair-of-denim exercise led me straight back to these AGOLDE I’d completely forgotten about, and suddenly they’re the only jeans I want to wear. Funny how a little closet shopping can make last year’s jeans feel brand new.

Also apparently my fall personality is the perfect denim, stripes, plaid, Ralph Lauren bears + a very committed blue shoe. Noted.

Cheers to ONE YEAR, Johnny Boy!! 🥂 I couldn’t be more proud if I tried!!

I’ve witnessed all of the hard work, dedication, education, risk, and courage you’ve poured into building your practice from scratch after 15 years in the security of the hospital system. But more than anything, I’ve watched what you pour into your PATIENTS.

It’s an absolute joy to watch you do what you love, and do it better than most. Your patients are your #1 priority, and we are all happier and healthier for it.

Personally, you’ve elevated my quality of life in a way I didn’t even realize was possible for a 47-year-old gal. And I know I’m just one of SO many. We are incredibly lucky to have you in our corner.

Mark my words, you’re going to change the game. Because that’s just who you are.

So on behalf of me AND the hundreds of gals in this little corner of the internet you’ve helped along the way… THANK YOU!!! 🤍 Perimenopause ain’t got nothing on you!

I tried on about 40 pairs of jeans so you don’t have to 🥵 although I’d highly encourage you to try on your stash! Comment DENIM for the pairs I decided to keep plus my widely requested Amazon tank.
Now Is it ridiculous I owned that many pairs? Absolutely—occupational hazard I suppose. Did it feel fantastic purging over 20 pairs? You’d better believe it! I know many of you have since done the same and have had mega success editing down your denim collection! I’m on such a roll…..I can’t stress enough the importance of TRYING ON everything as daunting as it may feel, it’s SO EYE OPENING and cathartic! Since I’ve started majorly editing down my closet I’ve shopped LESS and gotten dressed MORE easily…comment DENIM for my keepers plus I’m listing my faves below. With the exception of the Hattie’s I pretty much universally size up to a 28 for a more relaxed fit…..if you’d like a more classic fit I’d say stick to your true size!

The dorm starter pack I wish someone had handed me before our first college move-in. These are the products that actually earned a spot on the “buy again” list.

After moving Chase into both her freshman dorm and later her sorority house, I’ve learned a thing or two about what actually works. CONSISTENCY ✨✨ it’s the key ingredient.

I stopped thinking every workout had to be an hour.
I stopped believing one “off” day ruined my progress.

Instead, I just keep showing up…….Day after day, set after set.
Some days with lots of energy.
Some days with very little.
I stay CONSISTENT regardless of if I want to or not.
Like brushing my teeth, washing my face, taking my vitamins, I don’t give myself a choice.
And then one day, that bicep pops, you grab the 50lbs dumbbells instead of 40lbs…..and your CONSISTENCY pays off.
