pregnant and popping bottles (non-alcoholic variety) because some things don’t change. the girl who lived for a good night out is now growing an actual human being and somehow still the most fun person in the room. this is your reminder that motherhood is not a personality replacement. you can be excited about your baby AND mourn your martinis AND show up completely yourself. all three. at the same time. that’s the move.

Stowaway Collection was founded by a mom and her mom, because moms knew exactly what was missing. Clothes that celebrate a pregnant body instead of hiding it. Fabrics worth actually wearing. A brand that treats maternity fashion like it belongs in the same conversation as the rest of your wardrobe. Because it does.
We build this brand the same way we do everything else, with our kids nearby, figuring it out as we go, and refusing to settle for "good enough."

Nobody talks about how isolating pregnancy and new motherhood can actually be.

I got to do pregnancy alongside my best friends. There's nothing quite like having someone who just gets it at 2am, showing up for each other without having to explain why.
But not everyone gets that by default. And if you weren't handed a village, that doesn't mean you don't deserve one.
Go build it. Person by person.
Join a mommy support group. Strike up a real conversation at the playground, not just a smile and a nod. Ask your OB or pediatrician if they know of local mom communities. Show up to the same baby music class three weeks in a row. Say yes to the playdate even when you're tired.
Your village is out there. It just might need you to take the first step.
