last year after we got a DM from a brewer in north carolina asking us to come celebrate at his brewery.

we couldn’t make it. we had to get back home the next morning.

but the conversation kept going.

eventually it turned into this.

después is a mexican lager that came together between a brewery in north carolina, a designer in mexico city, and a football team that spends most of its life moving between airports, group chats, and tournaments.

we spent the last few months working on it with people who care deeply about their craft. not just the liquid, but the feeling around it too.

during the design process, we talked a lot about restraint. how something can feel comfortable in both a brewery and an art gallery without needing to scream for attention.

that idea has always felt very bumpy pitch to us.

the game creates a lot of things beyond the field if you let it.

sometimes it’s friendships.
sometimes it’s community.
sometimes it turns into a beer.

Friday night under the lights with an incredibly talented group of players.
We’re getting close.�The energy’s different now. Quicker. Sharper.
It’s wild thinking about how much has gone into just getting to this point. A lot of people involved, so many people all lifting in the same direction.

Still work to do, but we’re getting there.

This one’s been a long time in the making.
I’ve wanted to work with for years. Some of my favorite kits in the game have his fingerprints on them.

Almost a year ago Pete texted me congratulating us on winning . That text led to a conversation about designing kits. Which led to Pete leading our kit designs for this year’s tournament.

Life can be funny like that. A full circle. From admiring his work as a designer to getting to design kits together with him. What a ride.
